Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.13 PM
Hi guys , I'm fitting a homebase kitchen using 50mm worktop and I am unable to find end trims for either side of the cooker . Is there anyone who might know where I can get these from or a alternative solution ?? Many thanks

Try Googling "Veneer Strip Suppliers" and then optimise your search for nearest to where you live.
A choice of different finishes are available, most are pre-glued for ironing on or if not a contact adhesive is used. The edges are then trimmed to suit the profile of the work surface and lightly sanded to remove the sharp edges.
Most reputable worktops come with at least two lengths of end finish veneer from building suppliers.
Good luck :)

I'm assuming you mean you can't find the metal heat strips?????
To be honest I don't think that they are a legal requirement as the oven/range should be fitted level with the worktops. I would edge them with the worktop edging supplied and make sure the appliance is fitted correctly according to its instructions and level with the worktop. When I say level, I mean level with the oven and not the gas burners if its a gas appliance
