Rough idea of cost: replace 5 hip tiles +10 other normal

Please tell me if £860 is about right to replace 5 hip tiles plus 10 normal tiles damaged in a storm (builder said if any felt needed he would throw this in too) Asking as I have had wide varying prices and this is bang in the middle (one was £1200 and other was £480) Mamy thanks

Hi,
i would think this is a bit over the top as the material cost will be less than £50 for a dry fix hip or a wet bed hip system. I`m in central Scotland and your job would probably cost around £300 to 350 as it would only take half a shift but you will find if it`s an insurance job you could pay as much as the £480 that you have been quoted.
Ask your roofer how long he will take and gauge it on the hours.
