Damp Proofing

Building Survey has identified Wet Rot and Damp

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.35 PM

HI there. I hopesomeone can help. We have had a building survey on a house we were looking to purchase. There has been damp ingress in quite a bit of it (they have had injections to try and rectify) and some wet rot in the eaves. It suspects quite a bit of damp under the ground floor and shows moisture levels as quite high in both outer walls (it is a terrace circa 1890). Is this a property to stay away from as there a few other jobs to do, however, the damp and wet rot are the main issues, or can they be rectified fairly cheaply? I suspect not however. Many Thanks, Chris.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
