Dispute with customer after painting job completed

Painted ceilings when dry...Client loved them and payed, 2 weeks later client gets roofers in to strip tiles complete,remove roof battens and felt.Fix new battens and felt.Relay existing tiles.[this is on a 50yr old[aprox]ex semi detached council house.Now cracks have appeared on edges of ceilings and some corners of walls...This is my fault according to client !!!Need sensible honest opinions please..These will be shown to client..Many Thanks Richard

Hi I'm a joiner and would 100% say this has nothing to do with you. To stip a roof of all tiles and batons is a big job and there will be a lot of hammering and nailing, the rafters are attached to the ceiling timbers so there will be vibrations. I would probably have done the roof works first and then had ceilings painted.
