fixing upvc french doors centrally through lower part of frame into dpc and brickwork

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.12 PM

My instructions with my new set of upvc french doors say I should fix the frame centrally top and bottom into brickwork. I can see this will be a benefit to prevent them distorting over a period of time but am a little worried about drilling through lower horizontal dpc. I had thought of just adding silicone to screw and extra pump through each side of lower frame? Any body have some good advice on this point?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
