Valiant Combi Eco Tech Boiler pressure loss on a daiy basis
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.53 PM
I have the above boiler which this past week has been making a back firing noise when put on and then a F28 with a cross through it sign comes on. I have to re pressure on a daily basis, because it loses pressure overnight. The boiler is 5yrs old and was not flushed through after installation. The engineer felt the pressure vessel and said he believes there may be a blockage as the vessel on the one side does not heat up. Since the new boiler has been installed the L/Room radiator does not heat up properly, the bottom of the rad is cold, while the top gets hot. Any advice please.

You need a Gas Man to come and pump up your Expansion Vessel to 1 bar of air
make sure he knows what he is doing!
Expansion Vessel It will NOT be Split.
It just needs pumping up with Air
Change the PRV Valve as well.
If the Gas Man Does not have a Foot Pump you have hired the Wrong Guy.
This will fix it.
Don't listen to any Rubbish about Changing the Boiler Because the Expansion Vessel is Split it just needs Pumping up with Air.

Hi
I have just solved this issue on a 5 year old Vaillant 824. I'm afraid it is not cheap but will cure the problem 100%, Cost to client £350 for parts and labour. I am happy to explain the details to you but i need to know more information about the boiler.
Kind regards
Ben
