replacing old, broken stair treads.

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.08 PM

Hi, My husband and I are attempting to replace a couple of old, broken stair treads but are a little worried as they are built into the side of the staircase. Can anyone advise on how to go about this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you,

Hi there, there are a few methods for this . The easiest of which depends if you can get to the underside of your staircase? In these instances it's fairly straightforward to remove the wedges and squeak block etc. but it also depends on your style of stairs , could you post a photo ? Thank you
