Power to Oven Gone
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.53 PM
Hi our oven blew, we assumed it was the over and a new one would fit straight in. New one fitted but didn't power up. The fuse still powers the oven wall switch but no power to oven. Could the circuits that the oven is hard wired to be dead or short circuited when our old oven blew? Our fuse box is about 25-30 years old so its not the most modern.

Could be a damaged cable, loose connection or even damage to wiring by mice/rats.
