Condensation damp caused paper to peel off walls and ceiling in old farm house

I am looking at taking on an old farm house which has been shut up for 5 years. It appears to have what I suspect to be condensation damp throughout the house which has caused the paper to peel off the walls and ceiling. Will a dehumidifier do the job or is it a much bigger/expensive job?? Thanks in advance

the building needs living in , heating and airing this will help the building more than a dehumidifier. good luck alex
