Best hinges for internal oak veneer doors
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.12 PM
Hi I've purchased some internal oak veneer doors from Wickes and wondered what are the best hinges to use. I'm guessing I should use 3 to be on the same side and prevent any warping. Also, I'd like a brass finish, again, I assume brass plated is better than pure brass. Ball bearing better than washer? Any product links would be useful if I'm on the right path. The doors are 21kg and 35mm width. Cheers Greg

Personally I'd use something like "Ball Bearing Hinge Electro Brass 76 x 51mm" 3 per door and you should never have any issues with squeaking or sticking.

Yes your on the right path when you say you would think 3inch ball-raise hinges could be used.with the weight of the doors it is wise to pay a little bit more for the right hinges and they will last as long as the door giving you years of trouble free use
