Ravenheat condensing fanned combi boiler losing pressure quickly

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.34 PM

Hi please can anyone help? Ive just brought a house 4 months ago and boiler was fine, but since it's got colder the boiler is losing pressure fast. I put the pressure up to 2 but within the day goes to 0. I've got a Ravenheat condensing fanned combi and been told I can't put any self sealing products in. I turn the boiler off completely and still loses pressure. I think I have a leak but can't find one, how small does the leak have to be to make the pressure drop that much?? I can't find any puddles on the floor or under the floor boards. I can't afford a plumber or engineer so keep topping it up for now, is this ok? Please can anyone help or any advice would be amazing. Thank you --- Thank you, is this something I can do myself? So its definitely not a leak? Thank you

You need a Gas Man to come and pump up your Expansion Vessel to 1 bar of air make sure he knows what he is doing! Expansion Vessel It will NOT be Split. It just needs pumping up with Air Change the PRV Valve as well. If the Gas Man Does not have a Foot Pump you have hired the Wrong Guy. This will fix it. Don't listen to any Rubbish about Changing the Boiler Because the Expansion Vessel is Split.
