Hanging heavy objects on breeze blocks

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.53 PM

I want to fit a wall mountable chin up bar on to a wall made of plaster board and breeze blocks but dont know what type of screws or bolts to use. The chin up bar should be able to support a weight of about 200Kg (440LBS). I am concerned that the breeze block may not be strong enough to hold this weight. Thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

There are American fixings called "Snap Toggles". They are very good and are used on plasterboard walls and breeze blocks. They can hold a lot of weight. You can order them on Ebay. You will get a pack of 10 for around 7 quid. I use them a lot.
