Plumbing

new toilet in an small awkward space

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.34 PM

I live in a 2 floor flat, it's two stories and there is only a toilet on the lower floor. I would like to put one upstairs but the bathroom upstairs (just a bath and sink) is small and the toilet can only go in on location in the room. The problem starts because half the bathroom is built out over a walkway but the other half is above the lower toilet, the new toilet can only go over the walkway can I run a soil pipe from the toilet and then under the floorboards for about 4ft before running it through the ceiling into the soil pipe of the other toilet? Hopefully I've expalined ths properly, I need help, the girlfriend is is driving me mad :)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

hi ya, your best option would be a saniflow toilet, these only have to be plumbed into your soil pipe using a much smaller diameter pipe that can routed under the floor or through walls to the soil pipe. they only need a cold water source from your sink or bath to operate it, If you search (Saniflo domestic range) it will explain it a bit better than me! regards chris (wrightman property services)
