Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.53 PM

We are looking at installing a new electric cooker. We have a 32amp fuse circuit breaker, and a 6mm twin and earth cable, can you please advise if we are able to go up to a 32 amp electric cooker with this? TIA

Hi it depends on the power of your cooker, length of cable and method of installation. if your cooker is 7000w (7KW) and you install 15meter of 6mm twin and earth cable in stud wall. your current load will be 30.4Amp and maximum cable load is 35 Amp, 32A fuse is fine.
