Taking back of housing off integrated fridge freezer
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.53 PM
My hubby is installing our new kitchen. The integrated fridge freezer is 21' deep but the housing is only 20". I bought the fridge freezer in January of this year as our previous one died. Hubby thinks he will have to take the back of the housing off to fit the fridge freezer - is this likely to compromise the build of the housing or should I buy an alternative fridge freezer. The depth of most that I've looked at are also 21". Thanks in advance.

Hi saffysue,
The back should be removed completely from fridge housings to allow the fridge to circulate air to cool itself.
Hope that helps.
John.

hi there yes remove backing what i sometimes do is fit the housing with small metal brackets on the inside then remove the back panel, this way having back panel in when fitting helps keep the unit nice and square whilst fixing
