is it possible to lay Karndean flooring on to floorboards?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.08 PM

I have floorboards in my house and I want to put Karndean flooring strips. What is the best way to do it?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

To install Karndean (or any LVT) over floor boards you must first lay a 6mm plywood nailed every 5 to 6" with ring shank nails (that's a must) please note that the Karndean is only as good as your plywood in this case or any other subfloor preparation. Please also be mindful of the adhesive you use, hope this helps
