Hi, Please could I get some advice?? I had my kitchen walls plastered with one coat plaster about 4 weeks ago, so this week I painted them with a diluted white Matt emulsion, let that dry for a few days and then painted them with a medium sheen paint mixed with Matt paint. It seems to have all dried nicely and looks good but I have just been told by a friend that I should have only painted the walls in a white Matt paint for at least 6 months??Have I done the wrong thing or will this be ok?? Please help!!
It's fine the watered down mist coat stops it drying your top coats out so it will be fine

What you have done is fine a skim coat of plaster will dry out quick so the mist and full coats of emulsion you applied are fine. Dr Paul D Rogers PhD Construction Management Chartered Building Engineer Expert in Building Defects
