Can a wood floor be lifted then relayed elswhere?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.08 PM

The wood flooring has been down approx 5 yrs and it's in very good condition, I want to lift it and put carpet down in that room but I have another room where the flooring can be laid. Is that possible?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

A floor can in principle be lifted and re used in a smaller room (as you damage bits lifting and loose bits with cuts) but it will never go down as good as it originally was and depending how it was fixed before it could be badly damaged or unusable.
