Converting back from flats to one house - turning 4 gas meters into 1?
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.51 PM
We have a house that had been converted into 4 flats. We are now converting back to one house. There are 4 Gas meters in a line along the outside of the property. Is it possible for a Gas safe engineer to join (in some way) the four supply pipes entering the meters into one pipe and one meter, thus leaving the internal pipework and gas fittings (fires and cooker) in place? Do we need any permissions before an engineer can accept this job?

You need to call your gas supplier or Transco 0800111999, gas safe engineers are only allowed to work after the meter not before it.
