Electric is tripping out when hard wired my 35amp hob into cooker socket

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.34 PM

Help I have just hard wired my 35amp hob into my cooker socket and my fuse box is 30amp, when I switch the mains switch on it cuts out all my electric, does this mean I need to buy a bigger fuse for my mains fuse box or will it need replacing all together? Any advice would be much appreciated

Sounds more like a neutral to earth or live to earth fault on the hob? Could be a faulty element on the hob or wiring could be shorting between conductors somewhere.
