Bathroom Fitting

Moving a bathroom upstairs from downstairs extension at back of house

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.34 PM

I am thinking of buying a house but it only has a downstairs bathroom. Do you think it would be possible to put one in upstairs? The kitchen and bathroom are an extension at the back of the house so the upstairs bathroom/en suite wouldn't be able to go directly above it, but would be at the back of the upstairs part and above the next room along from the kitchen (I hope that makes sense!)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It's possible but you would need to consider where the waste, both water and 'other' stuff is going to go. You would likely need a new soil vent pipe installing which would need connecting to the service drain, this can be quite a costly affair
