Want to change 8.4v NI-MH battery with 11.1v Li-po battery - reduce voltage?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.52 PM

I want to change 8.4v NI-MH battery with 11.1v Li-po battery, but the voltage is too high, so i need to reduce it by 1v to make 10v and when the battery has only 8.4v -1v=7.4v of power (3v for every 3 batteries to keep them from over-discharging) the motor will stop for short of power. How can i do that? The current is 30A.

Solution is complicated as soldering and voltage dropping resistors and diodes are needed, best off buying the correct battery in the first place really.
