Soundproofing a chimney breast without involving a partition wall
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.11 PM
I am trying to cut down the noise that I get from my next door neighbours tv which is mounted on our shared chimney breast. Looking for suggestions that don't involve a partition wall. Many Thanks

build a stud wall 200mm away from and independent from existing wall and insulate it with 150 mm rockwool with air gap 50 mm behind. Then sound proof dense plasterboard finish. You'll lose 8" off the room but it will help
