What is the average width for a winder staircase ? What do you think of 730mm for such a width ?

Hi 860mm over strings is a standard staircase width including winder staircase's...it might be difficult to get furniture up and down it at 730mm...would be ok for a loft etc Hope this helps

normally there will by w1 kite w2 this is the most common layout for a standard 3 bed house Steps are normaly 85cm wide by 45cm drops w1 is normal 85cm wide by 70cm drop kite normal 115cm wide by 90 cm drop w2 normal 105cm wide by 70cm drop this is just guide please do not cut carpets on these measurements hope this helps kind regards JD Flooring & Blinds LTD

730mm on a kite winder isnt right as there wouldn't be enough going ( tread size ) the minimum width would be 750mm.
