How difficult is it to locate a leak and fix it?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.07 PM

I have an ongoing problem with a leak (watermarks on the ceiling and wall plus when it rains heavily I can hear water drip into the loft space above). The company I used have been out several times and tied several fixes, now of which have worked. Any advice in how long it could take to work out the cause? So far they have been out 3 times. Thanks!

It Is not always easy to find the source of a leak, specially when there are no obvious signs of water entering that roof. If there are no obvious signs of where the water is entering the you should seek a professionals advise.

most causes of leaks come from missing roof tiles or another common reason for a leaking roof is that the old felt under the tiles/slates has rotton away wich will need replacing hope this helped

there can be many contributing factors to the cause of a leak and in some cases its not always easy to find the entry point of a leak as water can travel a vast distance from the entry point to the exit point
