Are swan neck pipes coming out of my roof still in use?

these were expansion pipes from your hot water tank and /or your central heating system I would imagine they will be old and if your systems have never been upgraded they may still be in use . However if you have had your systems up graded or if you have a combi boiler they are no longer relevant . But I would advise checking them out before removal
