How to fit a conservatory against wall (roof won't be supported?)
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.07 PM
I have just bought a used edwardian conservatory with a glass roof. It had three sides. However I only need to use two sides as I have an external garage wall that will be in place of the third side. I have had a couple of builders around who have said it is not going to work as the roof won't be supported. I don't know the make of the conservatory, it has active blue glass roof. What can I do to make it work? Spent a lot of money on this, so now panicking, any advice greatly needed. Thank you

Generally the roof would have a "wall plate" wehich you would fix to the wall using heavy duty wall fixings - similar in principle to your brown and red plugs used for masonry fixing but much bigger

On most instances like this, a box gutter should be attached to the wall, and roofing bars fitted to box gutter.
You might be able to get a box gutter from Eurocell
