Hi Andy,
I'm dead against brick acid in general, I think its a unnecessary approach. I'm assuming you had stained bricks or efflorescence? Unfortunately you will have to hope that weather/time improves them? If these are facing bricks on your house you could always replace the bricks? How many bricks are you talking about? (for info 60 bricks to a sqm)
Kind Regards,
Andy

did you rinse off the acid after ?. i once made the mistake of putting some brick acid on some concrete to clean some staining, then i got talking to the neighbour, 10 minutes later the acid had eaten into the nice smooth concrete finish.
always wash off acids after you have put it on and scrubbed it to clean the brickwork.
you could always try using the acid again, but this time scrub it in well, then wash with clean water. this should help blend in any colour fading etc.
ps, using goggles and gloves too.
pps, if the issue your trying to cure is the white staining on the bricks, not mortar staining, sadly acid wont do anything. only time cures brick salt staining.
