replacing bathroom chrome towel rad with stainless steel one
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.07 PM
the chrome towel rad in my bathroom needs replacing as after 10 years it v rusty. i want to relace with a s/steel one as it 25yr no rust . the problem is the nearest replacement size is pipe centres 490mm and the existing is 500mm the nearest i could find. the pipes from the wall are chrome so i would need a new chrome pipe with a 10mm bend in . is that a big ask? the chrome pipes i guess are soldered onto copper pipping behind the tiles(not accessable) and the pipes from the wall to new rad would only be 50/60mm . i guess im worried if pipes bent would be to much pressure on the joints behind tiles and wouldnt be aware till to late if leakes. can a bend be put easily in a short chrome pipe, to match up? or is there a fix round this? looked at a flex hose which could work one end in corner as not seen so easily but all seem to long 300mm smallest i could see where as 100 mm would be ideal. any advice appreciated. oh new rad about £400 so wanna know it's not impossible before i order.
