Do I need planning permission to have a dormer window fitted in my roof, if my house is in a conservation area?

Yes you will require planning permission in a conservation area, but you can all ways contact your local planning department to confirm this.

Its a stick area,if theres already a window there you dont need planning ie velux and it depends where its facing. contact local planning and get someone out to give you there opinion as they change the rules all the time
