rain leaking through top of bathroom window

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.10 PM

had bathroom window installed approx 4 years ago. Heavy rain would come through top of window.got window company back who could find no fault with window or seals. Couple of years ago got builder to have a look, again he could find no fault but replaced the fascia board. This leak occurs when heavy rain. Yesterday and today with the heavy rain it is quite bad. Any advice please? Do i need a roofer? window fitter? Thanks

It could be your eaves felt is perished and rainwater is bypassing the tiles hitting the perished felt and leaching down the external wall. Or you have perished undertile felt and a shallow pitch - whereby wind driven rain is identifying a defect. If so consider having eaves protectors fitted - purchase from - www.fascias.com Regards Andrew @ Fibretechs Fibreglass Flat Roofers Gloucestershire
