Cement or sealant to fill gaps between leaky roof tiles?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.10 PM

I live in a two bed bungalow. At the rear of the property some of the cement from the tiles is missing, maybe this is the reason why I have a leak. I have removed the moss and the gap between each tile is approximately 1 inch. Which would be better re-cement or buy a sealant to fill in the gaps? At this present time cash is short.

Neither really and sounds like a new roof may be looming. That said on a budget I would go for a quality sealant such a Calder Lead sealant, this is a flexible sealant, which will not break down during hit weather unlike cheap sealants. Roof get very hot and can cool down very quickly so thus would be my option ( on a budget ). Best of luck Andrew @ Fibretechs
