Open conservatory used as extension vs closed one?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.06 PM
i am looking to get a conservatory however i am unsure as to whether to have an open consevatory and use as an extension or whether to have a closed one ? is it possible to have a conservatory on a modest budget that isnt going to suck all the heat out of the building?

Hi a conservatory will always be chilly in winter, even with heating it will drain heat from house, because of poor insulation properties.
Hope this helps

A Conservatory is just that, its not an extension which would be constructed to current building regulations and therefore have superior thermal insulation properties.
