what are the best requirements for block paving a garden with earth base. what are best base requirements, weed suppression and drainage?

Hi john the best base would be to a type one hardcore about 150mm then a 30-40mm sharp sand screeded to lay the blocks then concrete the edging and even haunch to give edge more support. thanks
