Why do I have high hot water pressure in the kitchen (since bathroom suite was installed)?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.06 PM
A few years ago I had a new bathroom suite installed and ever since then the hot water pressure in the kitchen is incredibly high and it takes ages for the hot water to come through. I think now is time to fix it, I'm sure its something simple. Pressure upstairs is fine, perfect in the sink but the shower can take a long time to heat up. The pressure in the cold tap downstairs is also fine. Any ideas on how to resolve this?!

Could possibly be that your hot water is run via a combi boiler or pressurised cylinder and mains watet passing through is to high not letting boiler heat it up correctly , cure would be to have incoming main pressure reduced hence giving boiler time to heat water up suffiently

Have the boiler serviced and inform the engineer of the problem... the recent work may have disrupted / damaged the boiler controls if the boiler shutdown and fire up were not executed correctly.
