1930's rear building extension - is internal separating wall a brick or stud wall?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.10 PM

Hi, I'm currently in the process of purchasing a property which had a rear extension designed as a kitchen and dining room. My question is, what type of material was used around this time for the internal separating wall? I am unsure if this would be brick or a standard stud wall? Regards Peter

If it is the original back wall of the house it will lightly be brick, or knock on it if its brick it will not have a hollow sound, otherwise drill a small hole near the bottom & you will hear & feel if its solid.
