Bathroom Fitting

Flexible pan connector: Would this work if toilet just needs moving along outer wall a few inches?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.52 PM

I have the tiny awkward shape bathroom from hell. All I really want and need is to fit a 1200 x 1200 corner bath in but no matter how I measure it the toilet needs to be moved a little bit. The soil pipe goes through the outer wall to the waste downpipe outside so I thought it meant the whole palaver of getting a shorter pipe and making a new hole and filling the old one but just found a 'flexible pan connector' in Wickes. Could it really be that simple? It'd be great if so as I could afford to spend the saved money on some other bits to space save like smaller sink and a flat to wall towel rail instead of the radiator. If so what might it cost to swop the baths ( pipes to taps/waste same place) shift the toilet over and put a heated towel rail where the radiator is? I can replace any tiles myself OK but really want a whirlpool bath so it needs an electrician too. There's a dedicated box/point just outside in the hall so probably there was an electric shower or something in there before.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Flexible connector will do the job, just cut the soil pipe as close to the wall as possible. You need a qualified electrician to connect all the electricals in the bathroom, as the existing points may not be suitable for what you r up to.

Main thing here is to make sure that you will still have a fall on the flexible connector to the soil pipe.
