Can you get water pipes that will prevent water from being heated from an aga

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.06 PM

We're having a fridge put in in our kitchen that requires a water supply. Ideally the water supply would run around the back of our aga (this would be ideal as the aga is in pieces at the moment so we could do it before it goes back in). My question is, the water must not get warm. Is there a way of preventing the water from heating as it goes behind the aga. There's not much room to lag it so I wondered if there were heat resistant pipes. The only information I can find is on how to prevent pipes from thawing - I need the opposite. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Depending whether the wall immediately behind the Aga is a plastered solid brick wall, chase a channel to suit 8mm or 10mm micro bore pipe, wrap pipe in tape (to prevent corrosion) then fit using nail clips, to retain the pipe. Then re-plaster, the plaster should act as a insulation barrier from the Aga heat source.
