How can I best ventilate my bathroom?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.37 PM

I have recently moved into a tenement flat. A lot of condensation gathers in the bathroom when anyone takes a long shower. We have solved this problem by leaving the window open for the last couple of months but I dont want to do this during the winter. The window is single glazed, is tall and narrow and is difficult to reach behind a shelf at the back of the cistern so I need a solution which doesnt require me to me reach the window often.... Any dieas what will be most effective, easiest to fit and use and hopefully not too expensive? Thanks v much - Mags

they best way is to install an extractor fan. you can pick a decent one for about £30 pound and have it in your loft or wall and can connect into the lighting circuit to come on with the lights.

would i asume you dont have an extractor fan? if not a timer extractor would certainly reduce the condensation issue. wall mounted, ceiling mounted and glaze mounted are all available and offer different ft per min air extraction
