Cost of stripping & redoing walls, and laying new laminate?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.10 PM

Hi, sorry for the rambling title. We're looking to completely redo the walls, floors and ceilings of the bedrooms, lounge and hallway of a 2 bed flat (in London, approx 600 sq ft). The walls are currently lined with paper but it looks old with several layers of paint over the top. We'd like to have them stripped back, plastered where necessary for a smooth finish and have them painted white throughout. We'd also like to have the ceilings painted. In addition, we would replace the carpet with laminate wood flooring so would want to have the current skirting removed, new floor laid and new skirting fitted. Could anybody advise on how much this might cost, whether one company/tradesman could do the whole job, the best order in which to do the work and also how long it might take? Thank you!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately. we would not be able to answer your question until we see the job to be carried out in your flat. Its unprofessional to give an answer to this question. It would be better to see the job and give proper professional advice. Thanks
