Greenstar 25Si/30Si Combi Boiler and Honeywell CM900 Wireless Programmable Room Thermostat

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.51 PM

Greenstar 25Si/30Si Combi Boiler and Honeywell CM900 Wireless Programmable Room Thermostat I've just moved into my new house and it's the first time I've ever had a combi boiler. The previous owner left an installation booklet with the name and model Greenstar 25Si/30Si. There is also a Honeywell CM900 Wireless Programmable Room Thermostat and HC60NG Receiver Box. The questions I have are as follows: Why do the radiators get warm when I have turned the switch to off on the Honeywell box? (I have had to turn all the radiators off manually to avoid them warming up). With regards to the Honeywell, I can programme the heating to come on, but can't seem to work out how to programme it to go off again! Finally, the temperature control on the boiler for the water goes from 0 through to 6/max, but there's an 'e' instead of a number 5 on the dial. The manual doesn't say what this is at all. I would like to have the water on the 'eco' setting so that the boiler isn't constantly firing up to maintain the water temperature, however when I did this the water temperature was only tepid after much tap running. So if there's a way for me to turn up the temperature whilst still using the 'eco' button I'd love to know how. If anyone can help me to answer these things thank you in advance.
