dirty water in new boiler then powerflushed?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.51 PM
Hi, getting new boiler with powerflush. Installer advised that they would install boiler first day and do powerflush second day. Did ask about dirty water going into new boiler before powerflush but got response that they wont be running central heating until after the flush. So, yesterday boiler was installed and upon coming home I`ve seen that benchmark report for both central heating and domestic water was filled out. Would that mean that dirty water got into new boiler and powerflush today doesnt make much sense? Thanks for your time **************************************** I did ask through email as office was closed and got response that it wont be a problem. Also on friday they found gas leak so I`ll be without gas until Monday. Wasn`t engineer on Thursday who commissioned boiler supposed to check for any leaks? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This is new response regarding boiler: When we fired the boiler up we would not of ran the dirty water through the boiler until the system was power flushed and operational. Our aim is to get your hot water operational and not to use the central heating in this period to prevent this. Only thing I know for sure is that benchmark sheet was all filled up, even central heating mode. Not sure if they could measure it without firing central heating and thus getting old water in the boiler? Also, they mentioned there will be extra charge for new pipes they had to lay due to the leak. Now am I right in thinking that there should be no extra charge as they told us we can use boiler as normal day before?
