Distance between tap and bottom of kitchen sink

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.51 PM

I have recently had a builder do quite a lot of work in my flat which included fitting a new kitchen. I bought quite a lot of non-standard pieces including a sink that used to be a school sink so it long and narrow and not that deep. I had a new window fitted above this to allow more space behind the sink as a splashback and that whole wall re-tiled. I bought wallmounted taps to go over the kitchen sink. The problem is the builder has fitted the wall mounted taps so low they are really impractical - you couldn't fit any large pans or jugs under them. I was wondering whether there was a standard height that the bottom of the tap should be above the bottom of the sink? Thanks!
