How hard is it to add wc to en suite?
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.09 PM
Looking to move to a new property, and just a couple of things we want to fix! The downstairs wc needs a sink as currently it does not have one. There is space though! The upstairs en suite has a sink and shower but no wc which again there is space for. How hard and expensive is it to rectify this?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hello,
To install the sink in the downstairs toilet is let's say fairly easy because you have the soil pipe to connect to ( WC evacuation ), however upstairs it is really difficult for a normal toilet because I am just guessing you do not have the 110 evacuation pipe ( the big soil pipe for toilet ). The cheapest alternative would be to install a toilet with a macerator that way you can connect it to the sink evacuation.

Sink shouldn't be a issue but toilet needs waste connected to soil pipe which is usually close to main bathroom, so depends on location of new toilet.if its next to bathroom it shouldn't be a problem but if across the hall way you will need a saniflow unit which requires a electrical feed.
