Are all bottom filling inlet valves for toilets equal?

I need to replace the inlet valve on my toilet but I can't see the exact one anywhere online – are they all the same? Thanks

buy a torbeck ball valve with adjustable height usually fits anything

please consider the thread size, there are different types ie 1/2" or 3/8"

If you get the same type (but different make) it should be fine.
Best bet would be to take a photo to the shop/merchant.
If possible get one with a brass thread. Especially if your not a plumber. The plastic ones can cross thread. Which will give cause small leaks and you'll get annoyed.
