Extensions

roof pitch and width

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.36 PM

I want to add a decent sized lean-to extension to my kitchen. The window sill above it is 3.5m from the ground. If I build up to this point for the top of the lean-to roof how much width will I gain? I would like the extension to be over 3m wide but will the pitch be too shallow then for slate? Thank you

On those measurements the roof is less than 10 degrees & too flat for slate. You could fit another type of waterproofing layer on the rafters like Ondutile sheets Then slate over for visual effect
