Can cast iron radiator and steel pipe system be retro fitted with a modern boiler?

As long as system is Power-flushed properly and a magnetic filter is installed on the return heating pipe as close to the boiler as possible

Please state whether you have a single pipe heating system (popular in schools & offices many years ago) or conventional twin pipe system (flow & return)? Update: Please ignore the further comments by Gas Smart Heating below as we have not yet established if you have a single pipe system or conventional twin pipe system (flow & return) as stated above.
