Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.06 PM

An emulsion wall has had gloss applied by accident , how do I return it to Matt emulsion?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Key the gloss with a light sanding using P80-P120 or apply a good quality emulsion primer (that can be used on top of gloss), mist coat and paint (2-3 coats) for a proper job.

you could always sand the wall to get the sheen out and then simply apply as many coats of the emulsion paint as necessary. Best and least labour intensive option would be to use an electric orbital sander.
