if youre going to tile at some point but want the dust to (go away) the easiest solution is to mix up some pva, unibond or similar 50/50 with water and prime the floor with a roller
after a couple of coats 2/3 this will give a good surface to tile onto but wont let the dust through also its cheap and the tiler will appreciate it !!!
if you wanted to spend a bit more then sandtex masonry paint is another option but remember the tiles are only going to be stuck to whatever you put on the surface
if you need any more help dont hesitate to contact me

i would not advise painting the floor as you would then have to remove the paint when you are ready to apply your floorcovering otherwise this could cause a chemical reaction.Protective plastic stick on sheets would work to render any damage.

how long are you planning to leave it before tiling?
what type of screed is it?
It would be safer to just leave it because any paint will interfere with the adhesives that are used in the future.

Hi,
You should leave your screed for roughly 6 weeks prior to painting or tiling for the screed to completely dry out. To protect it you can just use a good floor paint, give it 2 -3 coats and that will be fine.

You dont need to paint anything on the screed, if by any chance it did get dirty, then there are chemicals for cleaning the floor prior to, tiling, carpeting etc.
Where ever you get the tiles from will tell you what you need to prepare floor prior to tiling.
