Is neighbour allowed to rest iron support beams on party wall?

My neighbour's having a loft conversion, is he allowed the rest his iron support beams on my side of the party wall?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The neighbour is not supposed to put it on your side unless he has your permission. If you decide to have a loft conversion it will more than likely be in the way we have come across this issue a few times and had to redesign the loft to suit.

subject to a structural report by a structural engineer and a subsequent party wall agreement yes he can. and it will need to be signed off by building control and a copy given to neighbour.
